Ode to the City

Ode to the City is a grassroots art initiative targeting communities with stories to tell and art to create. Starting July 1 and running until August 31st, the project will bring a team of talented teaching artists into Chicago near south side communities to conduct FREE public workshops for community residents. No experience required, no age limit.

Our aim is to empower multigenerational artists from city neighborhoods to tap into the power of color to challenge dominant narratives, and to imagine alternatives for their communities and for themselves through a variety of artistic medium.
